Just in time means that, really. Just in time.
Do I have news? I do! I’ll likely be busy for the next week or two, which throws more of a wrench into my plan. I want to move to a more regular update schedule, preferably every day, but I’m running into a content problem. I just wrote around 2,200 words this afternoon, which isn’t all that much, all things considered.
It is, however, far more than I can write on a day where I work 8 hours and then need to attend to the rest of my life. This leads me to a content problem, wherein I need to produce more, but don’t have the time or the energy to do as much as I want.
Resolutions? I don’t know, but if you have any ideas of what you like to read or want to see more of, please let me know.
In any case, have the next part of Lovers. Oh, if you have a title for that too, I’d love to hear it. Please. I beg you.

Coming off of a night shift (no, thank you, seasonal sales!), I’ve had plenty of time to sit around today and listen to music. Admittedly, most of my day has been spent reading Under the Dome , this week’s book, but music is never far from my thoughts.
I’ve got three songs for you today. The first is if you’re a fan of fast-paced, screamy music that is fabulous when you’re frustrated.
The second is if you’re in a contemplative mood and want to listen to a bit of…weird music.
Finally, because I am an enormous softy at heart, and you know you love it.
And no matter what will happen, this is what I’ll always think of when I hear the phrase “pick me up”.

For those who are not on my Facebook, I had a specific request for this week:
I’ll pay for the book if you read and give a writer’s perspective review of “the Hunger Games” before the movie comes out as part of your book a week challenge.
So although I did indeed read Ready Player One as part of my regular schedule (which I’ll briefly comment on later this week), and considering I’ve already read the book before I started my book-a-week program, I’m going to talk about The Hunger Games.
Week 8: The Hunger Games

La première partie:
Yours truly: “Ma’am,was this the book you wanted? Yes? Well here, I’ll get it for you from the bottom shelf. Not the top, or the middle shelf. In fact, I will even point to it before I bend down to grab it. Here you are.”
The Wicked Stepmother: “Oh, hmm, I think this wouldn’t be appropriate. I don’t think I’ll take it.”

Oh Gods, grant me the Ocarina of Time so that I can get all my work done.
In more realistic news, I’m moving quickly today. I have lots of work to do and less and less hours to do it in, so I’m posting this quite early. Well, earlier than I normally do it so you can have something to do on your lunch break.
Also, so that I can finish my short story for the Toronto Star short story contest! The story is due before midnight Sunday, so if you’re interested THEN GET WRITING. I’m done mine, but the editing will devour basically all the time. All. The. Time.
So while I do that, have more story! I’ll update the .pdf in the next few days, quite literally when I get the time.

Yes, I know the title of this blog is Published Just in Time and not Published Whenever The Hell I Feel Like It, but sometimes, when the stars are right, those two are the same thing.
In any case, Week 7: Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay

I adore music, and this man is one of the reasons why. If you’ve never heard him, you’re in for a treat.
