All Things That Begin, Must End

Jack Layton died. I’m not going to get too teary-eyed about politicians dying, especially when they have cancer, but I liked the guy.

I’m a little shocked, especially since it was just a month ago that he stepped down as leader, but I suppose that’s what cancer does. I guess when they say “months to live”, sometimes you don’t get years.

This is the way of the world, but sometimes the way of the world sucks.

In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem. Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere aeternam habeas requiem.

Man, Catholicism can be weird sometimes. Good bye, Jack.
